Things to do
Walks
For the serious walkers there is the Peddars Way Norfolk Coast Path National trail which runs along the coast by cliff dune and marsh to Hunstanton.
Local walks include Cromer to Overstrand along the beach and back across the cliff tops.

Other walks that we love to do include driving to Felbrigg Hall and taking the lake or the wood walk. You could go father a field to Blickling Hall and walk around the grounds and lake there.

Beaches
East beach directly opposite the house is the best and is absolutely ideal if you have young children and need to get back to base in a hurry! You can always find your own space and even in the height of summer it never feels that crowded.
Further up the coast and a short drive away is Stiffkey marshes where you must pack a picnic, be prepared to get covered in mud and walk for a while over the salt marshes. Once you’ve found your spot you won’t be disappointed. It is truly one of the most inspiring places in North Norfolk for the space and light and fun. Bring crab lines for the children to catch crabs in the creeks.

Slightly further up from Stiffkey there is the well known Holkham beach which again will take your breath away and has been voted one of the top ten beaches in the world. Again bring a picnic, kites and cricket set and be prepared to spend a day. (parking at Holkham as it is a privately owned beach is £3.00).
